Are you a resilient leader looking for a gratifying career leading a team of dedicated dependency case managers making a difference for children and families in crisis?   Children's Home Society of Florida is seeking Dependency Case Management Supervisors with a personal calling to help our state’s most vulnerable children and families. 
Our DCM teams make critical decisions for children under difficult conditions while seeking the best outcomes.  They are responsible for identifying and assessing the family needs of minors placed in care by DCF due to abuse or neglect by their caretaker. 

As the leader of a dependency team, critical management skills   include effective planning as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills to build successful partnerships with your team, volunteers and professionals including, judges, attorneys, Guardians ad Litem, co-workers, foster parents and other service providers.  Responsibilities include:

• Managing the daily operations of a CHSFL Dependency Case Management team including coordinating service delivery in order to meet client needs, program goals and contract objectives 
• Delegating and overseeing work assignments in accordance with the organization’s mission, policies, procedures and service philosophy
• Meeting with team members to provide feedback, recommendations and follow-up on implementation of the service plans and interventions for our clients.

CHS dependency case management teams make critical decisions for children under challenging conditions and work daily with children and families experiencing trauma.  Because of these situations and the demands of the program, staff are at risk for, experiencing emotional and physical stress and burn out.   As the leader of this team, the Dependency Case Management Supervisor builds and sustains a resilient team through support, development, coaching and mentoring including rolling up your sleeves and providing direct casework in the absence of service staff to ensure service continuity to our clients.  Building an engaged team that is ready and able to meet the challenges of the dependency case management program includes:

• Assessing individual knowledge, skills and abilities in order to create training to meet team member development needs and effectively prepare them for the job
• Assessing, evaluating and monitoring the performance and stress level of team members in order to take appropriate measures to intervene 
• Providing guidance to team members when an emergency case comes up and providing individual support by accompanying the team member when there are concerns
• Understanding the needs and demands of the dependency program in order to identify the targeted motivation, resiliency and experience of the best hire for the position.
