Transitional living

For young women who've exited foster care and/or are homeless

What's a "transitional living" home?

RachelIt's a safe, secure place for young women to live while they complete their education and/or begin pursuing careers. Women share two-bedroom apartments that include a kitchen and living/dining area. We have several apartments in a single complex, and residents share laundry facilities.

We understand the challenges facing young women in our transitional living homes, so rent is very reasonable and also includes utilities.

Are other services available to me?

Absolutely. We help you learn skills such as budgeting and financial planning, cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene. We also provide educational and career guidance, and encourage you to set and achieve your goals.

Who can live in the transitional living apartments?

Young women ages 18 to 23 who are homeless and/or who have "aged out" of foster care without a family.

I'm interested - what's my first step?
